The responsive website, designed by us, was launched for the first time with the founding of the Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle in 2013. The centrepiece is a dynamic calendar.

My challenge as a designer was to create a framework that introduced work and artists as transparently and neutrally as possible. The institution’s identity is unmistakably conveyed through the harmony of form and content.

The website functions with a minimalistic design that allows the presentation of the exhibited art to take centre stage.

The website functions with a minimalistic design that allows the presentation of the exhibited art to take centre stage. The subtle but redundant use of the KunstHalle’s central motif as well as the changing exhibition colours create binding accents.

The calendar becomes an intuitively operable instrument for a clear presentation of events through the use of colour-coded category and date filters.

Operation

Close collaboration with the customer was the basis for the launch as well as the relaunch. We gathered requirements and design suggestions during joint workshops in order to optimally map the exhibitions later.
