With diva-e as a consulting and implementation partner, the group has been presenting the first version of the online portal to its customers and the interested public since January 2021. Digital Commerce Platform: integrable and international

The project aims to make the company's entire product portfolio, associated services and know-how relating to vacuum technologies available online to customers and interested parties. Following an intensive planning and evaluation process, where diva-e played a leading role, Pfeiffer Vacuum has opted for the SAP Commerce Cloud as the technological basis for its future digital customer platform. In the selection process and the standard e-commerce processes, an international team evaluated, in particular, integrability and administration as decision criteria.

Digital roadmap and development

In workshops on e-commerce strategy and requirements analyses, Pfeiffer Vacuum and diva-e jointly developed the most important goals and milestones for digitising the business processes and defined the essential foundations for rapid implementation of a first version. An agile team of employees from both companies implemented these in a Minimal Marketable Product (MMP). In addition to performance, this included acceptable specification, user interaction design, quality assurance, acceptance tests and the transition to technical operation.

More transactions and new customers with e-commerce platform

Pfeiffer Vacuum has made the portal available to all its customers and plans to implement additional functionalities in the future. With its digital customer platform, the market leader has a different important channel to increase transactions, win new customers, and retain them through first-class service.

The SAP cloud solution impressed with its integrability, existing infrastructure and a future perspective with further modules such as the SAP Marketing Cloud. In addition, the key fits perfectly into Pfeiffer Vacuum's IT landscape, in which SAP applications already play a significant role and will be further expanded in the future.

With extensive experience in the introduction, ongoing development and operation of complex B2B solutions based on SAP for major German corporations such as Klöckner, SCHOTT and MVV Energie AG, diva-e led the project to success in close collaboration with Pfeiffer Vacuum.
