For a monthly flat rate, our managed service team takes care of a whole subject area for you.

Service levels

We provide IT companies with the possibility to use complete managed services – on all service levels – without needing to invest in their own infrastructure and additional know-how. Individual agreements regulate the quality of service, with up to 99.99% guaranteed availability per year. First Colo’s universal managed services are especially geared towards medium-size companies, as operating their own datacentres would not make sense for them financially.

Operating system

Operating system management includes services surrounding the operation of servers with operating systems such as Unix/Linux distributions installed on them. Here, the focus is on: carrying out installations and software updates (patch management); configuration; set-up and script management; identification, analysis and repair of errors; traffic monitoring; security management and protocolling; disaster recovery; and system documentation. The servers are administered and monitored through secure network connections by professionals on-site in the datacentre.

With our managed services, we guarantee the availability of all IT applications that you and your employees need. Upon request, First Colo Managed Services can take over the responsibility for your entire IT-system landscape. Through a solution package, we provide analysis, concept development, installation, operation and maintenance for your applications. Customised service level agreements (SLAs) facilitate individual agreements adapted to your requirements and needs.


The internet poses risks for your IT company, your business activity and your performance. Online attackers try to penetrate corporate networks via the Web in order to compromise business data, disrupt business communication or to access intellectual property. First Colo’s Security Operations Centre (SOC) prevents attacks before they get close to the corporate network. Through our own security-audits as well as those of partner companies, we provide sustainable IT-security strategies which are imperative for companies today. Outsourcing this area of critical business importance is not only a worthwhile alternative in terms of financial and human resources, it also makes meeting legal requirements easier.


In addition to the provision and expansion of active network components, we take on all activities necessary for the concept development, migration and operation of IT projects. Every managed port is continuously monitored through our Network Operations Centre (NOC), 24 hours per day, year round, so that problems can be detected early on. The customer receives standardised reports about problems that were solved within the network or about the fulfillment of service level agreements. In combination with monitoring, we provide forward-looking planning to avoid capacity bottlenecks. For configuration, we specialise in brand-name manufacturers such as Juniper, Cisco, etc., but also regularly fulfill special requests.
