Cloud Engineer in Cincinnati or Remote
Full-time

Our application management team ensures the running of our complex digital projects at several diva-e locations. The team of more than 50 people supports several technologies in the eCommerce area such as Spryker, SAP Commerce Cloud, Intershop, as well as CMS systems Adobe, Bloomreach, Hippo, First Spirit and individual developments.

About the job

  • As a Cloud Engineer, you will build new customer projects in public or private clouds and operate existing systems.

  • Have a solid understanding of the http request lifecycle.

  • You develop scripts for provisioning the IT landscape and build CI/CD pipelines together with the development projects.

  • You help ensure the integration of logging and monitoring tools within our customer’s applications.

  • Are comfortable working in an Agile environment and participating in the appropriate ceremonies.

  • You support the further development of cloud management by evaluating and testing new cloud components and managed services.

  • Provide technical application consultation and troubleshooting support for our L2 Support Engineers

  • Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation for high priority incident resolution via hotfixes.

Requierements

  • You are an empathetic team player, likely approaching mid-level in your tech career.

  • Enthusiastic about the DevOps culture and you have experience with public clouds (preferably Azure).

  • You have experience working with most of the following:

    • Docker

    • Akamai

    • WAF/CDN

    • Terraform

    • Python/Bash/Go

    • DNS Debugging

    • Certificate Debugging

    • Let’s encrypt

    • Grafana

    • Building and working with APIs

  • You have practical experience in agile development projects; ITIL knowledge and experience are desirable.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as fluency in English.

  • Knowing some German is a huge plus but not a necessity!

  • A positive, resourceful, and motivated attitude with a learning mindset also loving to share knowledge. We are happy to support you with a variety of trainings, tech workshops, pair programming, code reviews and much more!
