With PXM to unique customer experiences
PXM (Product Experience Management) stands for offering consumers unique experiences through customised product information. To do this, it is essential to provide product data that is individually tailored to the sales channel and region in the right context and thus make it possible for customers to experience a product virtually. A sophisticated PXM solution can sustainably increase the added value of a company. Conversions as well as internal efficiency and effectiveness can be increased, but also returns can be reduced. A PXM solution combines three different functional areas for managing product information (PIM system), digital assets (images, videos and documents in DAM systems) as well as feeds and syndication for product data catalogues (interaction across different channels via PCS systems). Thus, within the framework of the PXM system, data can be collected from different sources, standardised from different formats, product data can be further enriched, contextualised and distributed depending on the channel.
Use Akeneo add-on modules sensibly
Akeneo's standalone PIM solution is already a productive and relevant component in the IT system landscape of every e-commerce customer. To further streamline processes and improve product data quality, there are additional modules that fit natively into the Enterprise Edition of the Akeneo PIM. These include the Onboarder or Shared Catalogues.
The Onboarder is a supplier portal in which a separate UI (user interface) is provided for each supplier, which is visually adapted to the Akeneo PIM. The enrichment of information data on third-party products can be outsourced directly to the supplier through a shared catalogue. These suppliers are presented with products to be enriched in a particular data structure but cannot view product information from other suppliers.
