On September 15th, the Salesforce Partner Day took place in Munich – and it was all about two key topics: the new Life Sciences Cloud (LSC) and Agentic Enterprise. diva-e Conclusion was of course on site – here are the news and highlights:
Veeva’s Exit from the Salesforce Platform
The long-standing partnership between Veeva Systems and Salesforce is coming to an end: Since September 2025, Veeva CRM will no longer run on the Salesforce platform but will be operated exclusively in the Veeva Vault Cloud.
Specifically, this means: Starting from that point, Veeva CRM on the Salesforce platform will be in so-called Stability Mode. That means:
no new features, only bug fixes and security updates
guaranteed support until September 2030 – but without further developments
a significantly increased risk of technological stagnation
What does the end of the Veeva-Salesforce era mean concretely for users of these tools? What alternatives are available? And why is now the ideal time to evaluate your CRM strategy? Here you’ll find concrete recommendations.
Business Perspective: With LSC, Salesforce Opens a New Market Window
With Veeva’s exit from the Salesforce platform, Salesforce is opening a new chapter with the Life Sciences Cloud – one with high potential and market volume. For customers and partners like us, this is a unique opportunity to establish specialized LSC services in a multi-billion-dollar market segment.
As a Salesforce Summit Partner, our approach is: develop use cases, validate them, and actively help shape the introduction of LSC. The focus is less on classic CRM execution and more on tangible business impact – from improved HCP interaction to faster handling of medical inquiries and measurable added value in customer relationships.
Technical Perspective: Architecture for the Future
LSC also brings exciting new technical developments:
Agent-to-Agent (A2A) Layer: a new communication layer for agents that reduces redundant work, improves compliance, and enables global scaling. Learn more about Agentic AI here.
Seamless integration: close interaction with Agentforce, Data Cloud, and MuleSoft creates a unified, AI-driven ecosystem.
Feature roadmap: Not all features are available immediately (e.g., Order Management from 2026). But many highlights – such as revamped Visits, Smart Summaries, or an offline iPad app with CarPlay – are already here.
Data & migration: Salesforce recommends rethinking processes instead of migrating 1:1. A strong data strategy becomes the decisive success factor.
Proof-of-Value first: Small, concrete use cases and POCs should demonstrate added value early before scaling broadly.
What Does this Mean for Us?
With LSC, a market that has so far been heavily influenced by Veeva is opening up. As a Salesforce Partner, we support you in a migration or in the holistic, end-to-end development and implementation of your LSC:
Development of practical demos (e.g., Day in the Life of a Rep) that make real business impact tangible.
Positioning in the area of HCP Engagement Architecture – with a focus on channels, content, data, and AI.
Supporting pharma customers on their journey toward a Lean Agentic Enterprise.
We are excited to be part of this from the very beginning, to create value, and to shape the future of the industry together with our customers.
