Global rollout and custom-fit integration into digital sales platform
From Europe to North and South America and from Africa to Australia, the ifm group of companies has branches, development and production sites in more than 90 countries. The globally operating sensor manufacturer operates a digital sales platform created in cooperation with diva-e, which was implemented by diva-e with the solutions Bloomreach Content and SAP Commerce from the two diva-e technology partners Bloomreach and SAP.
Objective
Leading the customer faster to the right product
The old website and the previous e-shop were replaced by a scalable and open system based on web standards with an attractive, modern design. The clear menu structure and the new color and image worlds are intended to provide the customer with a pleasant shopping experience. In addition, the website can be used responsively on all end devices, including the store function. A special feature of the platform is the skilful dovetailing of content and commerce: The customer is advised on the possible uses of the products via elaborately designed content and thus guided to the products.
Since the ifm group sells many of its own software products that generate added value for the customer use of ifm sensors and their networking, ifm customers will in future be able to easily download software in different versions via this portal.
Implementation
Development of a software download portal
For the development of a software download portal, the market leader recently relied once again on the support of its long-standing digital partner diva-e: Recently, the download center developed by diva-e went live successfully. The center allows the administration of licensed software as well as the management of software packages and software versions. Additionally, diva-e developed an easy-to-use software package management service for ifm. This gives the globally operating group of companies the opportunity to actively inform its customers directly about new software versions.
Result
Custom-fit integration into the jointly developed sales platform
The diva-e experts integrated the newly implemented portal perfectly into the jointly developed, existing sales platform. The software download center will be rolled out worldwide in order to offer customers around the world the best service.
