One of our clients – famous multinational supermarket chains has initiated a project for the creation of an e-commerce application designed to be rolled-out to 10 international markets (pilot countries USA and Germany). Specifically for this our client, who is entering the Bulgarian market, we are responsible for helping them start the project and hire the needed people for the successful operations. That is why in the first couple of months you will be employed at diva-e Sofia before becoming a regular employee of our client. We do not want to keep it very mysterious – we will let you know their name during our meeting.

In order to make this project successful, on their behalf we are looking for

Java Developer with Adobe Experience Manager (m/f/d) in Sofia or remote
In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging your Java development skills to implement and configure our product in alignment with specifications and design. Your focus on maintaining implementation quality and performance will be crucial, ensuring adherence to technical guidelines and standards.

About the job

  • Execute precise implementation and configuration tasks according to specified requirements and design parameters.
  • Ensure the quality and performance of implementations by strictly adhering to technical guidelines and standards.
  • Develop, refine, and update technical product specifications and documentation, encompassing source code and configurations.
  • Address and resolve bugs, process small functional requests, and meticulously document each resolution.
  • Engage effectively with internal stakeholders, including IT and Business teams, to facilitate seamless communication and project alignment.
  • Interact with vendor support, leveraging your Java expertise to address and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Utilize Ticketing Systems, such as JIRA and Confluence, to report on implementation progress, test status, operational risks, incidents, and bug fixes.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on the system, vendor SLAs, and support quality KPIs for transparent communication and accountability.
  • Regularly check the system version and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, Architects, and Product Owners for future updates.
  • Provide valuable input on capacity forecasts, effort estimation, and requirements for implementation activities.
  • Review and challenge functional and non-functional requirements and designs for feasibility and implementation best practices.
  • Effectively communicate with third parties regarding the integration of various tools, such as Lago and Workfront, to enhance overall system functionality.


  • You are a real team player, who can work autonomously and is attentive to details.
  • You have experience as a Java Developer with a focus on Adobe Experience Manager.
  • You possess proficiency in Java development and integration with Adobe Experience Manager.
  • You have been working with Adobe Experience Manager (assets, workflows, scheduler, user and group management, search rails, etc.) or similar data asset management tools.
  • You have good knowledge in data exchange technologies (XML/JSON) as well as in state-of-the-art database principles, data structure and maintenance.
  • You are fluent in English. Good command of German is an advantage.
