General Manager in Cincinnati

Diva-e is a sales driven organization with substantial growth ambitions. Our goal is to expand our operations internationally and you can be at the forefront of this development. Our enterprise clients have great interest in moving their digital platforms to their US markets with diva-e as their general contractor. Thus, your job will be tough – in extending and foster the client relationships in the US and at the same time growing the organization and teams with it. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our new service delivery and go to market operation in the United States. This is a unique opportunity to join us at the ground level and build a successful business from the ground up with the support of a large, very successful and effective European operation. We are looking for an entrepreneurial-minded leader who thrives in a startup-like environment and is passionate about driving growth and shaping our expansion strategy.  

About the job

  • Refine and execute the company strategy specifically tailored for the United States market, including marketing, sales, and operations, to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence guided by our joint, global company vision, mission and purpose and based on our core values.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, finance, and logistics, to optimize operational processes and ensure seamless execution. Foster strong working relationships to drive efficient and effective operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, customer preferences, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. Bring new ideas and strategies to the table.
  • Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape and market trends specific to the United States, leveraging this information to develop strategies that will give our company a competitive edge.
  • Build strong relationships with external partners, such as technology vendors to find new sales opportunities, ease the go to market efforts and shorten sales cycles. Use their brand to bolster our corporate image.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, tax regulations. Work with our advisors and with our European C-Level Management to effectively manage the administration and operation of the US office. Mitigate risk and maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity. Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track and analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and overall business health. Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimize business performance.


  • You are an empathetic team player with international experience.
  • You have proven experience (10 years) in a leadership role within the IT services, preferably e-commerce industry, preferably in launching and scaling new operations.
  • You possess strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate market trends and data into actionable insights. Experience in startup environments is highly desirable.
  • You excel in leadership and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. You have experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing strategies, and emerging trends in online retail. Familiarity with the United States e-commerce market is a plus.
  • You possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels. You are comfortable being the face of the organization and representing us externally.
  • You have strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement. You are comfortable taking calculated risks and making tough decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • You have demonstrated adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving environment. Agility and flexibility are key qualities for success in this role.
  • We are based in Germany so, if you know some German, that would be a huge plus!
