Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) in Sofia

Our Application Management team ensures the smooth operation of our complex digital projects at several diva-e locations. The team supports several technologies in the eCommerce area (e.g. Spryker, Hybris, Intershop), various CMS systems (Bloomreach, First Spirit etc.), complex cloud infrastructures and individual developments.

About the job

  • As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you operate existing systems and take over new applications into operation together with the customer as part of a team.
  • You optimize DevOps pipelines and infrastructure to enhance scalability, stability, and security.
  • You collaborate with development teams (all areas) to ensure integration of DevOps practices into the development process
  • You are responsible for the maintenance and administration of infrastructure applications and other network components in the Azure cloud.
  • You support the further development of the cloud transition by evaluating and testing new cloud components and technologies and managed services.
  • You are part of our 2nd/3rd level support and act in case of incidents on short notice, flexible and knowledgeable.
  • You take the technical leadership role in the DevOps domain and support the team in achieving technical goals.
  • You identify and work on technical challenges, the evaluation of solutions, and conduct technology assessments.
  • You develop and implement technology roadmaps and best practices for continuous improvement of the DevOps infrastructure.
  • You identify and evaluate innovative technologies, tools, and frameworks that can enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the DevOps environment.
  • You keep yourself and the team up to date with trends and developments in the DevOps field and their potential impact on the organization via research and hands-on development practice.

  • You live the DevOps culture and have experience with public clouds (Azure) in particular with networking, DNS, firewall, network, RBAC, VMs, troubleshooting.
  • You have in-depth knowledge in areas such as cloud computing, containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, monitoring, and automation.
  • You have Linux knowledge and networking skills (e.g. Cent OS), as well as experience with Gitlab, Ansible and Terraform for provisioning infrastructure.
  • You already have appropriate certifications, such as Microsoft Azure Administrator or AWS SysOps Administrator, or are willing to acquire them during the onboarding process.
  • You also have practical experience in agile development projects; ITIL skills are desirable.
  • You have no problems with an individually plannable 24/7 on-call duty, which will of course be remunerated separately.
  • You can communicate technical concepts and solutions in an understandable manner for different target audiences.
  • You are eager to conduct technical training and coaching for other team members to enhance understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
  • You have proficient in at least one programming language.
  • You are proficient in English, German is a plus.
